Bosch was set up in Stuttgart, Germany in 1886 by Robert Bosch (1861–1942) as “Workshop for Precision Mechanics and Electrical Engineering.” Robert Bosch Power Tools, is the power tool branch of the Bosch Group as of today. Bosch Power Tools produces power tools, power tools accessories, measuring technology and garden tools. Beside their own products (Bosch blue for commercial users, Bosch green for the DIY market) several other brands are owned by the company, like Dremel, Aresi, Freud, Hawera, Standall and Sia Abrasives.
